Amusement Connect is proud to announce that Fun Run Kansas City (www.funrunkansascity.com) is host to the inaugural installation of the Amusement Connect self-service autonomous arcade technology system.
The arcade in Fun Run is set with 12 games equipped with the Amusement Connect CardMech Reader – eliminating the need for physical tokens or tickets to be stocked. Players obtain an RFID-equipped Player Card at the PayStation self-service kiosk where they can pay for credits with cash or credit card. Scanning their player card at any of the CardMech Reader-equipped games automatically deducts the required credits from their balance and starts the game.
Tickets are awarded directly to the player card at the end of game play. With no convenient location for a redemption counter, but a desire to bring in high-performing redemption games, Fun Run is perfectly suited for the PrizeZilla Automated Self-Service Redemption Machine. PrizeZilla allows up to 40 unique prizes to be redeemed without the need for attendants. Players simply scan their player cards at PrizeZilla and make their prize selection from the interactive touch screen. Prizes are distributed right then and there, with no need for attendant interaction!
One of the additional features enabled for Fun Run is the Manual Kiosk, allowing employees to accept cash at the register and load credits on player cards. Additionally, since pre-loaded player cards are offered as part of the Fun Run Birthday Party packages, they take advantage of the special cards management utility… allowing them to create a ‘batch’ of cards with a preloaded value they specify.
Managers are also able to verify and address any player concerns inside the powerful Amusement Connect Operator Dashboard, which offers them the ability to view and/or confirm gameplay, purchase, and redemption transactions in real-time. The economics and benefits of the fully automated Amusement Connect system made total sense even for the smaller installation at Fun Run because of the lower cost (as compared to competing cashless systems), ease of installation, and total automation of the management functions of the arcade.
