Ellis Entertainment Grows to Six Locations with Amusement Connect’s Game Card System.

When Ryan Harris needed to switch from his attended coin-operated arcade to an unattended arcade, he turned to Amusement Connect’s SmartMech card readers and PayStation Kiosks. Thanks to AC’s system, he reduced labor costs and expanded to six locations. Ryan was reluctant to take the leap with a game card system, but he’s glad he did.

The biggest obstacle was making the leap with new technology—and price. Hearing from another operator gave Ryan the confidence to move forward.

Once they started using the system, his business started to capture credit card revenues they were missing out on. Ryan also has been able to give feedback to improve the system. They have been able to reduce the frequency of cash collections.

His favorite product is the SmartMech card reader because it’s durable and intuitive enough for people to figure out without requiring hand-holding. Ryan was worried about confusing customers, but it was a smooth transition.
